The Grottaferrata MS. is, unfortunately, the only one with an English translation, by John Mavrogordato (Oxford 1956). Mavrogordato, xv-xx, discusses the MSS., concluding that the earliest version is that represented by Grottaferrata. He largely anticipates Lord's findings on the oral nature of Escorialensis.
