Other novels of Galdós which, in our opinion, owe something to Tolstoy, are: Ángel Guerra: Direct influence of Tolstoy in some aspects of Guerra's doctrine of «El Dominismo». Galdós proves the impracticability of non-resistance to evil; Zumalacárregui: Fago, a symbol of awakening conscience to the true significance of Christianity; the hermit Borra, a religious anarchist. Tolstoyan elements are present in all three; Narváez: Galdós demonstrates that «a change of view» cannot produce a change in the organic form of life, as Tolstoy thought; Aita Tettauen: direct influence of Tolstoy's Ma Religion: parallels with Souvenirs de Sébastopol: link with Olénin from Les Cosaques; Nazarín and Halma: direct influence.
