Dear Sir: after having put the card, wich you will receive together with this one, into the box, I wanted to pay the money. But I was told, it is not posible to pay money to be sent to Spain by post order, nor is it posible to send it by a letter with declared value. I must therefore first get out how to pay you; most likely by a banker. Excuse the delay, I was not prepare for this eventuality.

Estimado Sr.: Después de haber echado al correo la postal que recibirá junto con ésta, quise abonar el importe. Pero me dijeron que no es posible abonar dinero para enviar a España por correo postal, ni es posible enviarlo por carta como valor declarado. Debo, por tanto, averiguar primero cómo pagar a Vd.; probablemente el mejor camino será a través de un banquero. Perdone por esta demora. No estaba preparado para esta eventualidad.
